Who are you?
• You have an active California property and casualty license. No exceptions.
• You have 1-5 years experience, and went through the "classic training" of an insurance company or major brokerage.
• You have experience in designing and administering programs for all lines of P&C insurance. You have in-depth understanding & knowledge of insurance terminology, documents, coverages, underwriting, rating, claims, and premium payment & collection methods.
• You are a seasoned user of the Applied Systems TAM agency management system. You can train others with confidence. You are up to speed on technology, Microsoft office, and database applications.
• You love working with customers, yet you know how to handle insurance company underwriters.
• You are an ambitious, hard working, motivated professional with a high level of integrity.
• You have excellent oral and written skills and instill a positive outlook in all relationships and activities.
• Your attention to detail is outstanding and you want autonomy in your work.
• You have the ability to quickly learn markets, systems, and new fields. You have a mind naturally curious, an interest in insurance education.
• You have strong organizational skills and can work independently.
• BA/BS in Business, Insurance, Engineering or related field preferred.

What You Will Do:
• Handle an extremely diverse book of business (activity, multi state)
• Establish and maintain files to prevent E&O exposures.
• Understand assigned insureds' operations, exposures and coverages. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of markets and underwriting criteria. Facilitate workflow and account processing within our firm and with markets.
• Market new and renewal business. Build relationships with carrier contacts.
